The cloud gaming review on Sunday – week 3

As is the case every week now, in the third calendar week of this still young year, we are offering you a review of the cloud gaming news of the last few days. Our guest author Stefan, who is very familiar with this topic, has put it together for you. You can read why this is so in the paragraph “About our guest author” below.

As planned, the Stadia servers were gradually shut down on January 19, 2023 at 9 a.m. Some were still able to play an hour after the planned shutdown. We took it as an opportunity to reminisce and say goodbye:

GeForce Now

Punctual and well timed for the end of Google Stadia, the first locations with RTX 4080 graphics cards were made public last Thursday – including in Frankfurt.

We have already been able to test the performance and are very enthusiastic. Feel free to write us your impressions!

Epistory is available for free on the Epic Games Store until January 26, 2023. The game is fantastic and I would like to recommend it to you all.

Shadow PC

A small update: New iOS/tvOS app 3.13.1 in BETA

New function:

• New mouse mode “Trackpad mode” in the iOS app, which is activated by default. You can find help with this in the quick menu.
• Improved accessibility with controllers in the tvOS app

Corrections:

• the notification display has been redesigned for an improved user experience
• Fixed various crashes and minor issues
