Dove’s new campaEsports Extrasthat will seek to change the beauty in video games
After a study carried out by Dove, they have realized that 62% of adult women as well as 60% of girls do not feel represented correctly in video games and more than 30% of these girls feel that their self-esteem is affected by it. ‘Real virtual beauty‘ wants to change this and turn everything known upside down.
To make way for this campaEsports Extrasthey have created a series of avatars that are inspired by a series of real women. With them they want to represent the different types of beauty that we find in the world. With this, a denunciation of this lack of similarity with reality is launched. «Let’s make beauty virtual» is the motto with which they close each and every one of the ads.
As they have explained, this entire campaEsports Extraswill be broadcast mainly on digital channels. «From Dove they believe that beauty should be a source of confidence and not anxiety“, it states Leandro Barreto, Global Vice President of Dove. «Although the video game industry has made significant progress on issues of inclusivity, we believe that the process needs to be accelerated«, it ends.
