The Finals is an orgy of destruction for PS5 and Xbox and it looks really good

The Finals could be really exciting and not only looks cool, but probably also offers a lot of destruction.

The Finals could be really exciting and not only looks cool, but probably also offers a lot of destruction.

In the new trailer, The Finals scores above all with the detailed destruction of buildings. But you can’t just tear down one or the other wall here. It looks like there’s even the possibility of leveling large, multi-storey houses in this shooter. This already looks very impressive in motion and could also be pretty cool apart from that.

The Finals comes from ex-Battlefield devs and features a lot of destruction

That’s what it’s about: The Finals throws you into a game show that’s all about big bucks. Accordingly, you have to finish off opponents, bring crates to certain places and, above all, of course, survive. As in Apex Legends, you compete in teams of three and only four squads are involved in the rounds.

This is special: Behind The Finals are some developers who previously worked at DICE on Battlefield games, for example. In the first trailer, the gameplay gives the impression that the destruction from the time-honored shooter series was brought – and greatly expanded -. In addition, there is a cool, interesting look from a single source.

If that’s how it really works, as it looks here, we can level entire blocks in The Finals. At least there seems to be the possibility of dismantling really big houses into their individual parts or simply blowing them up so that they collapse completely.

That looks really impressive and has seldom existed in this form:

Foam cannon, anyone? In the wild action, we can not only rely on conventional shooting clubs, but also use various abilities of the individual characters or certain gadgets. Such as the turrets or the foam cannon. Especially the latter should bring tears of joy to everyone who played Prey. This ingenious weapon is finally making a comeback!

Alpha starts tomorrow! At the end there is good news and a big surprise. If you want, you can try registering for the closed alpha. It’s scheduled to launch on PC tomorrow, September 29th, and you can register for it on Steam.

However, The Finals is still in a fairly early, unfinished stage of development. Accordingly, there is not yet a release date for the finished full version on PS5, Xbox Series S/X and the PC.

How do you like the trailer, the look of The Finals and the destruction?
