The Last of Us: In episode 6, Dina from Part 2 is probably hiding – did you spot her?
Dina is an important character in The Last of Us Part 2, and she may also appear in the current episode of the series.
In the sixth episode of HBO’s The Last of Us, Joel and Ellie finally make their way to Jackson, where the smuggler reunites with his brother Tommy and his wife Maria. Especially for fans of The Last of Us Part 2, the episode ignites a real firework full of allusions. And we may also get to see an important character from the sequel, namely Dina.
Does this scene feature Dina from The Last of Us Part 2?
The staring girl in episode 6 is most likely Dina.
The scene in question is so short that you might even have missed it. After arriving in Jackson, Joel and Ellie are invited to dinner by Tommy and Maria in a large hall.
In a brief moment, Ellie realizes that she is being watched by a girl hiding behind a pillar and responds with a derogatory “What?” whereupon the girl feels caught and disappears.

Who is behind this? The actress of the mysterious teenager is called Paolina van Kleef according to IMDB and is listed there as “Starring Girl”. The Last of Us series marks the young actress’s first major television appearance, having previously only appeared in the short film Yasmina and the series The Night Agent.
The character in question does not appear in the first part of The Last of Us game – so who could be behind it? The possible answer: The creators of the series most likely showed Dina from The Last of Us Part 2 here. Because the “Starring Girl” should not appear in the series completely by chance, this is probably a deliberately placed teaser.
Especially since actress Paolina van Kleef looks very similar to the in-game model:
Who is Dina? The young woman is one of the main characters in The Last of Us Part 2 and Love Interest by Ellie. Both are about the same age and live in the Jackson settlement before they make their way to Seattle together. In the game, Dina is voiced by Shannon Woodward, while Cascina Caradonna served as the visual template.
We will probably see more of Dina in the already confirmed second season of The Last of Us.
