Except for a first concept image for the multiplayer of The Last of Us, there has been little information so far.
Good news for The Last of Us fans who are waiting for the multiplayer spin-off: The game has not been forgotten and development studio Naughty Dog is still working hard behind the scenes on the development of the standalone spinoff. But that was not all. We also get a new perspective on the world that awaits us.
The Last of Us multiplayer: This is what the newly released concept image looks like
That’s what it’s about: Looking ahead to 2023, Uncharted and TLOU studio Naughty Dog says there will be some new details about the ambitious The Last of Us multiplayer game later in the year. The project is progressing well and remains committed to the Naughty Dog qualities of story, characters and gameplay.
After the first concept artwork was presented months ago, there is finally a second one. That, too, has it all and gives a good impression of the world and the atmosphere that awaits us.

The second concept image for The Last of Us multiplayer looks very promising again.
Unsurprisingly, this image for The Last of Us multiplayer also has a post-apocalyptic look. A apparently stranded cruise ship looks particularly dystopianthe sombre look of the giant is contrasted by palm trees.
Apparently, these are more southern or at least warm climes. The first image already contained unambiguous references to San Francisco as the setting. We could possibly also expect a corresponding multiplayer map including a cruise ship.
But curb your anticipation: This is just concept art. It usually only serves to show the intended atmosphere and the rough look. This picture here does not necessarily mean that we can actually visit a corresponding location that looks like this in the game.

We already know that: Not much. Aside from the announcement that a standalone spin-off and pure multiplayer title is coming, practically nothing is certain about this The Last of Us game. But of course that doesn’t mean that there aren’t already rumors and speculations. Eventually the title could work like Hunt: Showdown, Escape from Tarkov or Warzone 2.0 DMZ mode.
