We’re not living the best time for Lord of the Rings games this year. Gollum has been, well, one of the worst disasters we’ve seen in some time, but there still seems to be hope in The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria.

Presenting at Summer Game Fest Live, the survival game showcased how a player and their friends can plunge into the depths of the abandoned dwarven city, digging for forgotten treasures and battling those who have made it their new home.

The release window for The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria is fall 2023, and hopefully the developers stick to it to avoid another Gollum-like disaster.
