The new game of The Lord of the Rings already has a date and, surprisingly, Gollum will arrive soon

The Lord of the Rings has a future ahead, although it may not appeal to everyone. Although there seem to be up to 6 game projects in development right now, the ones we know of are two, and one is coming right away. After several delays, The Lord of the Rings: Gollum finally has release date.

Although at Esports Extras we had the opportunity to speak in detail with members of the team and play a version close to the launch last February, the information regarding the date has been kept safe until today. Finally, the game will see a release date next 25 of May.

Although the game was delayed indefinitely, Daedalic Entertainment actively and passively assured that we would not see Gollum’s journey beyond 2023. Of course, with so many comings and goings, very few of us could assume that the game would finally arrive in just 2 months to PC.

This work, co-published by Nacon throughout the world, follows Gollum since he lost his ring in the Cloudy mountains on arrival at died prior to his adventures in The Lord of the Rings. Although the artistic style satisfied us when we could test it, we cannot say the same for its playable sectionsomething uninspired.

In fact, this is one of the main problems the game has had since it was announced. Part of the community close to the work of the British saw problems in the way in which a character like Gollum could be adapted to the video game, especially that approach of stealth.

Be that as it may, we will leave doubts in just 2 months when we can finally play it. Remember that the game will arrive with Unreal Engine 5 under its arm and, as we have said, it will not be the only one. In the future they will deepen that adventure in Moria with up to 4 players, the 5 games mentioned above, as well as a new game by Private Division.
