Capcom has announced that the upcoming Capcom Cup will have a $1 million prize for first place.
In a tweet posted on the official Street Fighter Twitter account, it was announced that the upcoming Pro Tour, consisting of numerous ranking events around the world, will culminate in Capcom Cup X, with its grand prize.
“Capcom Cup X will be played on Street Fighter 6 and the winner will receive a whopping $1,000,000,” says the tweet, adding: “Who wants to be a millionaire?”
The prize money was announced during Capcom Cup IX over the weekend, where it was also revealed that the total prize fund will exceed $2 million.

The upcoming Capcom Pro Tour and Capcom Cup X will be the first official Capcom tournament to feature Street Fighter 6 as its flagship game.
Street Fighter 6 will launch on June 2 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam.
One of its most notable new features is the World Tour mode, which will allow players to create their own character, explore a series of open-world areas, and learn moves from existing Street Fighter characters.
