The next DC games will share the universe with series and movies, says James Gunn
James Gunnco-chairman and co-executive director of DC Studios, has confirmed on his official Twitter account that the next games with characters from the licenses of this label they will be connected not only with each other, but also with series, films and animation. Originally the scriptwriter and executive had only mentioned these three media, although when asked by a fan he added that video games will also be connected.
“Yes, definitely the DCU will be connected between series and movies (and animation”, began by saying James Gunn in his first tweet. To that message, a user asked: “Are there plans to also connect video games to the DCU?”, something to which Gunn I have answered in a simple but forceful way: “S”.
Not long ago it came to light that the CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery, David Zaslav, also had an interest in creating a shared universe that encompassed film, television, and video games. Back then it was just speculation and unconfirmed information officially, but now we know that those responsible for the DC Universe want to introduce the games in the same universe in which the movies and series take place.
Marvel, on the contrary, does not want to connect their video games
