The Starfield beta that can appear in your browser is dangerous, so much so that it is malware

Starfield is Bethesda and Microsoft’s big bet for this year 2023. There is a lot of expectation around the RPG that is Todd Howard’s first original license from the Americans in more than a decade. Of course, with as much expectation as there is, sometimes it is “normal” that things like game betas on the Internet, but beware they are scams.

In Esports ExtrasPC we have tried to tempt Google so that we get that “sponsored” that calls for a beta of the Bethesda RPG, but it has not happened to us. However, and as PCGamer reported yesterday, when searching only for “Starfield” in Google, the Menlo Park browser crowns the search engine with a beta.

Unsurprisingly, considering Bethesda’s track record and the game’s own genre, there is no beta of Starfield, or at least not that we know of. In case you come across it on Google or any other place on the net, be wary of the latter because, as the Anglo-Saxon medium adds, it is a capital scam.

Some say that the ad has been removed, but in this internet and with more than 4 months from here to the launch of the game, we would not be surprised if another similar one was cast again. In fact, if you organically search for “Starfield beta” nothing turns up on the web beyond the news or messages on Reddit following this scam.

And it is that, if Redfall has not had a beta before the launch, why would Starfield have it? Although this vampire multiplayer is from Arkane, the distributor is Bethesda and has not planned anything but a big launch for the shooter looter in Game Pass, no tests for players.
