The Super Smash Bros. roster like an 80s movie
Oh the 80s! For many it was one of the best decades in history, if not the best. It went from a gray era to a decade full of color, fun and freedom. Art was beginning to emerge everywhere. That’s why this was the decade that saw the birth of video games and fantasy movies. Who does not remember the movie Inside the Labyrinth? Or haven’t you seen The Neverending Story? A great culprit for those movies and for many of us getting hooked on fantasy was the incredible Jim Henson.
To this day, it seems that the fantasy style and dark themes that pervaded the small and big screen in the 80s are back in fashion with current series such as Stranger Things or The Dark Crystal.
This is how the characters of Super Smash Bros. would be if they were in the 80s
We are more than used to seeing our favorite video game characters with the same appearance. But have you ever wondered what they would look like if they had been born in another era? Well, that’s exactly what Reece Pottorff, a Super Smash Bros. fan, has done. Using an AI, Reece has reimagined what the characters from the Super Smash Bros. saga would be like if they were in a movie from the 80sAnd the result is spectacular.
Here are his videos on Super Smash Bros. 64, Super Smash Bros. Meelee, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Enjoy!
