The Witcher has to make friends with the Fortnite world first.
With a brilliant event, Fortnite said goodbye to Chapter 3 Season 4 and opened a new chapter. Once the servers are back online, we can start Chapter 4 Season 1 and look forward to a new map, fresh characters, and even a crossover with a popular video game franchise. We’ll now tell you what monster slayer Geralt von Rivia has to do with it.
The Witcher Geralt of Rivia roams Fortnite
Why is? Fortnite starts a crossover with The Witcher universe. In the current season it will be possible to unlock Geralt of Rivia as a playable character and roam the locations of the new island with him. But he has to leave his swords at home.
Why can’t I find Geralt of Rivia anywhere? The Witcher will only be unlockable as the season progresses. We don’t yet know exactly when that will be the case. While you unlock the character Selene with the purchase of the Battle Pass, you must also make progress for the following characters:
- Maasai
- dusty
- Nezumi
- Helsie
- the timeless one
- Doom Slayer
- Geralt (unlockable at a later date)
In addition to the monster hunter, there will be other appearances from characters that we know from video games and anime series. Also Deku out My Hero Academia will join the fighting squad. However, he is not yet mentioned in the list of playable characters, so we assume that he will be added at a later date.

New features from Fortnite Chapter 4
What else is new? In Chapter 4 there will be new ways of locomotion. For example, we can use the off-road motorcycles race across the island and even shoot at others from a motorbike. It will also be possible to join a snowball to dig and roll around with him. With the shock wave hammer we can, however, catapult ourselves through the air.
The longer we stay in a match, the more reality extensions we can start collecting now. This includes, for example, “Light Fingers”, with which weapons that use cartridges can be reloaded faster.

Of course, in addition to all the features, there are brand new weapons and items that can now be found on the island.
