What would you do if the world went to hell? Without a doubt, this is a question that many of us have asked ourselves at some point in our lives. However, it would never have occurred to me to answer that I would limit myself to playing the guitar sitting on the edge of a roof. Or that I would spend the whole day watching my little plants grow. Or that I would go out there, fishing, to see how rare the next bug that bites the bait is.

Surviving in such a relaxed way would not have entered my life plans. However, if I am Future: Cozy Apocalypse Survival has taught me anything, it is that it is possible. Yes, enjoying life watching everything go to hell is something we can do, if only because technology is on our side.

I Am Future: Cozy Apocalypse Survival mixes live from chill and survival… And I love it

It all starts when, without warning, we wake up in the middle of a rooftop. Without memories, we approach the ‘abyss’ only to observe that the world is no longer what it was; the city is flooded, plants rule the skyscrapers and not a single human being is seen in the vicinity. Everything has gone to ruin because of the confrontation of not a few corporations and it seems that we are the only survivors. At least right off the bat.

Whether it’s true or not, the truth is that I didn’t care, since the only thing I could think about was that I was going to make my own secret base on top of a skyscraper. Well, that and a vending machine claiming to be my first friend, but that’s another topic. Putting this aside, I revived my childhood longings to have my own tree house…on a rooftop. And if you ask me why a rooftop instead of an abandoned mansion, for example, well, I have no idea, but it doesn’t bother me either. What’s more, I like it.

Less still when before me is presented a world run down where there are still remnants of what had to be really cutting-edge technology that allows me to optimize my crops, among other things. Well, that and that I am wearing a glove in the purest Iron-Man style (without fireworks or dangerous things) capable of doing a thousand crazy things.

Even though it’s in early access it’s already really good

That is to say, that I became the hybrid between Inspector Gadget, any protagonist of Farmer seeks a wife and McGyver’s lost brother. Weird, but true… and very functional. Fun and particular, although in early access, I Am Future: Cozy Apocalypse Survival has shown me that a survival game can be just as interesting even if he makes me sleep in a hammock in the open air while we look at the stars without fear or fear.

To be honest, I didn’t expect that a post-apocalyptic environment could be so relaxing and, at the same time, so addictive. Luckily, Mandragora, the studio responsible for the video game, has not only hit the key, but it should bring us many different improvements as it progresses with early access. Maybe that’s why it costs just under 15 euros.

Be that as it may, he has a lot of interesting things: resource management, optimization of processes through cutting-edge technology, a sense of humor as absurd as it is particular, a much deeper game system than you might expect and a good number of options and improvements available for our shelter. Come on, it has all the ingredients to become a gem once it leaves early access and reaches us with its full version. In the meantime, the truth is that it offers quite a lot of quality content, so I have no complaints.
