Kariyushi Shirt Pikachu from Okinawa – Even as Shiny
This is new now: For a whole year now, the special Pikachu wearing a Kariyushi shirt are appearing in Okinawa. Corasonn also spawns in some regions of Japan, including Okinawa.
If you’re lucky, you can also find and catch these event Pokemon in the shiny form. Already on reddit and twitter, players are showing off their new catches and confirming that the new stylish Pikachu are really in the game now:

Other users write that the event is active for at least a year and that you have a long chance to travel to Okinawa. But two more events will start in Okinawa in May. There you can catch Pikachu floating on balloons and also play a ticketed event. But they are only active for a few days.
Others suggest that the special Pokemon of such events could be cleverly made available to other players. “Too bad they don’t hatch from 7km eggs. I have a friend in Okinawa who sends 1-2 gifts a week,” writes Basara549 on reddit. “That would be such a great solution,” writes Cavirra. “That would advertise friendships and everything that is one of theirs [Niantics] goals is.”
