The processes before the competition regulatory bodies, for the eventual purchase of Activision Blizzard by Microsoft, are scheduled to resume their activity next week. To begin with, the CMA has already released the dates on which they will have to Activision Blizzard and Microsoft appear to testify and the FTC has also subpoenaed two new appearing parties to testify: Take-Two and Valve. On the other hand, let us remember that the process before the European Commission has not ended, but only a few first hearings have been held, spring having been set as the deadline to offer a definitive solution to the purchase process.
Of the three processes, the one that is raising more blisters is that of the FTC. Not only because of the repeated accusations of lack of objectivity and the controversial departure of one of its members due to differences with its President, but also because of the process itself. And it is that recently it has been known that the FTC itself has cited Take-Two and Valve as testimonial parties outside the purchase process.
