They create a mod for Skyrim that uses an AI to have more immersive dialogues

Almost 12 years have passed since the release of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and despite this the game is still very much alive especially on PC thanks to the community of modders They keep creating new content and adding all sorts of features.

Without going any further a few days ago than Pada well-known creator of modhas published a video in which he shows us his latest work that he himself qualifies as the future of elder scrolls and role playing in general, since use an AI to be able to have more immersive dialogues with any non-player character (NPC) in skyrim.

Bloc has already done something very similar in Mount and Blade II: Banerlord and, as in this case, takes advantage of the use of an artificial intelligence called Inworld so that we can chat with all the characters that live in the North of Tamriel and have more natural and deep conversations with them, with the AI considering the background of each of these characters and also the most recent facts happened in our game.

Of course, keep in mind that this AI does not replace the lines of dialogue or conversations that Skyrim already hasbut it adds new options and even allows us to use our voice to talk to the characters (who will answer us in writing, obviously).

The downside of all this is that Bloc, at least for now, does not plan to launch this mod publicly. because “skyrim has too many editions, each one has differences and too many parts with changes and unfortunately, since I am not a modder experienced in Skyrim, it’s highly unlikely that I’ll be able to release it as a stable playable version, although the code is there (can be found on GitHub), so I’m sure other very talented Skyrim modders will pick up my slack soon.”

AI, a revolution for the future of video games
