The new game of Studio Koba has been shown, it is already playable and, although it will not allow us to brandish the Techno-Sword, it manages to convey the same exquisite sensations of Narita Boy. Something that makes a lot of sense: Haneda Girl is a deliciously pixelated spin off that combines 2D shooter mechanics with narrative elements.
officially announced last October 24offering a simple logo and the promise of imminent novelties, the plot of Haneda Girl is a promising reflection of the game retro-futuristic that fascinated us in 2021: video games take control of reality and Haneda Girl herself will respond to the threat armed with her will and Quantum Fracture a powerful multi-purpose blaster.
Haneda Girl will continue the same artistic style of Narita Boy through a very careful Esports Extras-art and Salvinsky will once again put his talent at the service of the Original Soundtrack. What’s more, from Studio Koba they already tell us that far from being the umpteenth action platform we will see how the plot gives shape and purpose to our advances.
However, some of its own elements have already been shown in this new adventure. Haneda Girl It was presented and shown for the first time at IndieDevDay, the great Barcelona indie video game fair, through a first demo. It has been through the impressions of the attendees where several of the novelties have been shown.

Initially, bet on a rhythm and mechanics more typical of classic side-scrolling shooters. In addition, in terms of presentation, comic-style onomatopoeia effects have been integrated and, logically, the interface has been adapted to the new weapon. Of course, combining the unique abilities of our protagonists with the environments as a great puzzle continues to be one of the identity traits.
We will have to be patient and cross our fingers so that Studio Koba decides to offer something new or, hopefully, the same appetizer in the form of a demo sooner rather than later. At the moment there is no date, platforms or concrete plans regarding the launch of Haneda Girlalthough what was shown and what was achieved with Narita Boy they put it right on our radar. Until further notice, we leave you with our Narita Boy gameplay.
