This new Resident Evil 4 Remake secret is definitive proof that Capcom is obsessed with detail
Whether you’ve played the full game or its demo, there’s a moment in Resident Evil 4 that set your tone and your difficulty: fight against a whole village of infected. Testing our prowess with weapons and putting us against the ropes, it is as memorable as it is intense.
But, are you starting the title over and lazy to have to shoot a bunch of villagers? Capcom has decided to give us a way the sea of power logic skip this siege and just get on with our USAhorror adventure.
If you remember, when everything seems lost and you have nowhere to run, the church bell sounds and puts an end to the fierce battle. It doesn’t matter if you’ve slaughtered endless enemies or not, everything has a sudden end point where your enemies decide they have better things to do than try to kill you.
Well, Reddit user u/Tactical_Banter wondered “What if I shoot the bell to make it ring?”, and then Capcom’s attention to detail made a brilliant appearance. The shots make the bell rings, and all the villagers retire to pray, leaving you alone. You can see an example of this in the tweet below.
Today I learned you can skip the opening village fight in Resident Evil 4 Remake by shooting the bell from a rooftop. A scoped rifle makes it easier, obviously.

Of course, this is a very clever way in which Resident Evil 4 Remake shows that it is full of detail and imagination in all its corners. Our colleagues from Esports Extras analyzed it, and the truth is that they were more than satisfied with the new zombie saga.
