This year 10% more companies have registered at Gamescom
Gamescom has recently reported increased corporate interest in the event, with 10% more registrations than in 2022.
In a press release (thanks, Wccftech) Oliver Frese, COO of the Koelnmesse Gamescom organization, stated:
“Without giving too much away, I promise the community can look forward to a few major players that weren’t around last year. Plus, we already have well-known market leaders on board from the new exhibitor segments announced for 2023, like streaming and table games.”
Sony and Nintendo weren’t in attendance at Gamescom last year, so it could be the case that one of these video game titans was in attendance at the event this year. However, more than the manufacturer of a platform, Frese could refer to large developers such as Activision Blizzard, Take-Two and some others that did not attend Gamescom last year.
We at Gamereactor gave it extensive coverage during our in-person visit to Gamescom 2022, and you can check out all the announcements and interviews from here. Gamescom 2023 will be held from August 22 to 27.
