After the cancellation of E3 2022, some companies will show their news at other digital events.
In just over three months of 2022 we have had very important news for the video game industry, but one of the most striking has been the cancellation of E3 2022, for all that it means. This has caused a restructuring of eventsand it is likely that we will see the creation of a handful of them in the coming months.
We do not know if THQ Nordic had agreed to be at E3 in some prominent way, but what is official is that it will celebrate the THQ Nordic Digital Showcase this coming summer. This has been announced by the company itself in a message shared through Twitteraccompanied by a short video with some of the games they edit.
They mention games like Outcast 2: A New BeginningThe fixed date is not at the beginning of summer, but we will have to wait for the August 12 at 9:00 p.m. to attend the digital event they are preparing. We will be able to follow it through Steam and the official YouTube and Twitch channels, and news and trailers of some games that are currently in development are expected, such as Outcast 2: A New Beginning or Jagged Alliance 3. Of course: there is no information regarding the duration of the direct or who will act as master of ceremonies.
Other industry players have also taken advantage of the non-celebration of E3 2022 to date their events. The most notorious is the Summer Game Fest presented by Geoff Keighleywhich will take place in June, a month in which we will attend others such as the PC Gaming Show and the Future Games Show.
