Torchlight: Infinite, the free-to-play action RPG, will be out of Early Access on May 9
XD Games has confirmed that its free action RPG Torchlight: Infinite release its launch version on PC and mobile on May 9. The title has been playable on PC since last October in the Early Access phase and the date chosen is no coincidence, since a new season called Cube of Rapacity with improvements to the loot and crafting systems plus new playable character, Escapist Bing.
“On March 9 Torchlight: Infinite officially switch from Early Access to Release version. It has also been further optimized for the Steam Deck.“says the statement.
Torchlight: Infinite is defined as the successor of torch light and allows “build the heroes with infinite possibilities and start a peak journey with numerous loots, exciting battles and challenges full of challenges with the bosses”. For this we can test different styles and strategic possibilities in the development of the characters through the unique heroes with 24 talent tags, more than 200 pieces of legendary equipment and more than 240 skills.
New seasons to keep the game alive
One of the keys to Torchlight: Infinite is that it is designed for be continually updated with new content to explore, including new heroes, styles, skins, quests, events, features, and more. “With more events and features planned, Torchlight: Infinite continue to evolve; launch is yet another milestone for this beloved action role-playing series,” says XD Games.
The saga was the work of Runic Games, which closed in 2017 after two games with good reviews. The publisher Perfect World then revived the saga and entrusted the development to Echtra Games to make torch light 3 (2020), which originally would have been a free to play. This last game was not very well received and Perfect World then resumed plans for a free game with Torchlight: Infinite.
