Dovetail Games, developer and publisher of authentic simulation titles, today releases Train Sim World 3, the next step in the Train Sim World franchise for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC via Steam and Epic Games store. The title is also available through Game Pass starting today. Train Sim World 3 continues to push the limits of realism with new weather dynamics, longer routes, and a dedicated training center catering to new and experienced players alike. The latest version also supports add-ons from Train Sim World 2*, allowing players to take all the routes and locomotives they own into Train Sim World 3 to continue playing some of their favorite content.
Starting today, all players can enjoy the challenge of driving in unexpected conditions, as the dynamic weather now has a significant impact on the drivability and responsiveness of the locomotives. The brand new training center is the first port of call for anyone wanting to familiarize themselves with adverse weather conditions in a safe environment. There is a circular test track and numerous sidings and points where you can practice with all the locomotives and units included in the game.
The three main routes include: California’s Cajon Pass, known for its long freight trains; the 280 km/h Kassel-Würzburg line in Germany; an enhanced version of the English Southeastern Highspeed between London St. Pancras and Ashford International and the brand new Training Center. The Deluxe Edition also includes an improved version of Train Sim World 2’s popular “Spirit of Steam” add-on, giving players the ability to run electric, diesel and steam trains in a single version.
With the Livery Editor and the Scenario Planner, the gaming experience can be further customized. You can create your own liveries and scenarios and upload them to the Creators Club. Here, players can share their creations and download others’ work, fueling railroad fans’ creative passion for customizing the look of their locomotive fleet. Those with less time for artwork or scenario planning can instead jump straight into Quick Play mode, where the game chooses an uncompleted track and scenario that’s either more or less than 30 minutes long.
But even for railroad fans who just have a thing for trains, Train Sim World 3 can be a place to enjoy the hobby. Visually stunning landscapes and detailed locomotives can be enjoyed from the passenger’s perspective or through carefully considered camera angles and screenshots. Busy AI timetables ensure that there is plenty of action to see and enjoy outside of the driver’s cab as well.
Train Sim World 3 is developed and published by Dovetail Games and will be released on September 6th for Windows PC, PlayStation and Xbox consoles. The title is available digitally on Steam and the Epic Games Store, PlayStation®Store and Microsoft Store. The Deluxe Edition is available for €49.99, the Standard Edition for €39.99 and four starter packs for €29.99 each. The title is also available through Game Pass.
*Train Sim World 2 tracks and locomotives are compatible with Train Sim World 3 but do not include the new features.
