TSM would seek to revolutionize the North American VALORANT scene at the stroke of a checkbook. According to Dot Esports journalist George Geddes, Andy Dih’s club «Reginald» would be interested in signing all OpTic Gaming players. The players would not leave the green-wall in the event that Team SoloMid was not accepted into the new franchise system of the VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT). OpTic is currently fighting in Istanbul, Turkey for the world champion title in VALORANT Champions.
According to Geddes, it is unlikely that the core of OpTic Gaming will remain with the club going into 2023. The organization would be interested in renewing the contracts of Victor Wong and Austrin Toberts«Crashies«, Which would end during the VALORANT Champions. However, TSM would seek to acquire the best North American team of 2022 in order to dominate the VALORANT scene once the new franchise system arrived. In order to get the entire squad, Team SoloMid would have to pay the clauses of Jaccob Whiteaker “yay” and Jimmy Nguyen “Marved”.
At the moment neither TSM nor OpTic Gaming have been accepted into the VCT franchise system. In the event that Andy Dih’s club does not enter, the OpTic players would not be interested in joining the organization. According to previous advances, the teams chosen by Riot Games will have to present their squad for the VCT in the middle of next October. The American international league will have 10 teams, not only North American, but also Brazilian and Latin American. The competition will be face-to-face and will be held in Los Angeles.
Unlike OpTic Gaming, North America dominator for all of 2022 and champion of the Masters Reykjavik 2022, TSM has not had great results in VALORANT. In 2021 the club regularly participated in the Challengers, but this year he has only competed in the second. Within the top North American competition, Team SoloMid finished last in the group with a record of one win and four losses. The most notorious result of the organization has been a second position in the First Strikethe first major VALORANT tournament, held in 2020.
