Ukrainian regulatory body approves Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard
While the Competition and Markets Authority of the United Kingdom is more than concerned about the acquisition of Activision Blizzard by Microsoft, expected at 68.7 billion dollars, which has blocked the operation in the country, something that also seems to worry the organisms EU and US competition law, Ukraine’s Antimonopoly Committee has far fewer objections to this.
As reported by VGC, the regulator has stated that it is not concerned that the transaction will reduce competition in the gaming sector, and has approved the acquisition.
Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Chile, South Africa, Japan and Serbia are the countries that view the takeover with good eyes, and some of their regulatory bodies ruled on it shortly after it was announced.
