The movie of Flash has finally been released and its Argentine director, Andy Muschietti, has been delegated to direct one of the upcoming films of Batman (via Variety) This film is part of the plans for the new DC universe Directed by James Gunn and Peter Safran. Batman: The Brave and the Bold bears no relation to the version starring Robert Pattinson and its reported sequel.
Batman: The Brave and the Bold is based on the comics by Grant Morrison, which Gunn has called an exceptional influence for the new DC Cinematic Universe. These depict a bat-family where Bruce Wayne’s biological son Damian serves as Robin. Barbara Muschietti, Andy’s sister and creative partner at Flashwill produce the project of Batman along with Gunn and Safran.
“We saw Flash Even before taking the reins at DC Studios, we knew we were in the hands of not just a visionary director but a massive DC fan.”Gunn and Safran noted. «When it came time to find a director for The Brave and the Bold, there really was only one choice. Fortunately Andy said yes.
This story of father and son, Batman and Robin, therefore seeks to cover the same ground as the Flashfocused on Barry Allen’s relationship with his mother and how that point is the one that sets multiversal events in motion. Batman: The Brave and the Bold will mark the return of the character of Robin to the big screen, since Chris O’Donnell took up the mantle in batman and robinin which George Clooney played Gotham’s dark knight.
