US Customs Destroys a Sealed Pokemon Yellow Valued at $10,500

Sending collectibles by courier is always a harrowing process. You never know how well your package will be treated and if you are very unlucky it may even get lost along the way. Something that has probably happened to most people at least once when it comes to internet ordering. But customs is something that people are really afraid of as they have infamous behavior when it comes to opening and inspecting packages. Something that has now happened to a virtually irreplaceable, unopened copy of Pokemon Yellow (its status was rated a 9.2 by WATA and valued at $10,500).

The collector in question expected the copy sealed in an acrylic plastic packaging. But when the person received the package after customs registration, the case was open, the plastic was torn off and the front of the box was cut off. A really sad story, and a friend of the collector posted a photo of the disaster on Twitter.
