Valorant director is ‘working on new stuff’ for Bungie
Joe Ziegler, director of Valorantthe popular multiplayer shooter from Riot Games, has announced via Twitter that it has decided to change airs and that from now on it will work for Bungie, the studio that created Halo Y destiny who recently joined the PS Studios family. Although he has not revealed what new projects he is involved in, the developer has noted that he has already joined the team and is actively working on “new stuff”.

“Update: I’m happy to announce that my new home is at Bungie, working on new things that I hope someday you all can play. Much love”, we can read in the attached tweet. As we have highlighted at the beginning, Ziegler is credited with having the initial idea for Valorantwhich was released in 2020 and reached 14 million monthly active players in its first year.
Before this statement that you have been able to read, at the beginning of the month Ziegler commented through his account that he intended to leave Riot “after twelve great years”. At the time, the developer had not yet revealed what its future plans were, although it did add that it was leaving. “with a heart full of gratitude to Riot Games and to all of you for the incredible memories we have shared together” and that he would share “very soon” his next “home”.
What project could Bungie be working on?
Bungie is currently doing the finishing touches on Destiny 2: Eclipse, the next big expansion that will arrive to the multiplayer shooter next February 28. On the other hand, although it is not yet officially confirmed, it is believed that the studio will be working on a new Marathon.
