One of the biggest esports competitions in the Riot Games shooter this year is coming up. In June we will not only be attentive to the ascension tournament Valorantbut also the expected Valorant Masters Tokyo 2023 and that is why we are going to tell you what the format will be, which teams will participate and on what date everything starts.

When does the Valorant Masters 2023 Tokyo tournament start and end date?

This tournament will take place between Sunday 11 and June 25, 2023. The tournament kicks off at the Tipstar Dome Chiba and fans in Japan will be able to watch the finals live at the Makuhari Messe.

Which teams will participate in Valorant Masters 2023?

The twelve teams that will participate in the tournament are the following:

  • Americas: LOUD, NRG, Evil Geniuses
  • pacific region: Paper Rex, XRD, T1
  • Europe, Middle East and Africa: Team Liquid, FNATIC, FUT ESPORTS, Navi
  • China: EDward Gaming, Attacking Soul Esports

What is the format of the tournament

The top three teams in their respective International Leagues advance directly to the double-elimination bracket along with second place in the EMEA rankings thanks to the additional spot earned by the region’s victory in LOCK//IN.

The remaining eight teams will meet in a double-elimination group stage. Each group will consist of 4 teams. Two teams from each group will advance to the second phase.

Those four teams will be randomly placed in a double elimination bracket where they will face the highest ranked teams. Teams from the same group will be placed on opposite sides of the bracket to avoid a repeat matchup at the beginning of the winners bracket. The winner of this double elimination bracket will be crowned Tokyo Masters Champion.
