Riot Games today announced the first details, new events and the format of the VALORANT Champions Tour 2023 before.
To celebrate the start of the season, each team selected for partnership will be invited to Sao Paulo, Brazil to compete in the largest international tournament in the history of the VCT to participate. Earned during the three-week tournament VALORANT-Fans around the world a first look at new team compositions and which teams may have fielded the best squad during the off-season. This unique event begins in early February and the winning team is then crowned in March. The winning team earns an additional reserved spot for their league in the first international event of the season, the masters.
After the Season Kickoff Tournament comes the first competition split of the year with weekly LAN competitions in EMEA, Pacific and the Americas. International league matches are held in three cities: Berlin, Seoul and Los Angeles. Each city will have talented local speakers commenting on the events in multiple languages for fans around the world. The Split begins in March and features eight weeks of regular season competition. The three league champions will then be chosen in May. In future seasons there will always be two international league splits, but for 2023 it will be limited to one international tournament split to allow teams ample time to acclimate to their respective regions.

The second international tournament of the year, the masters, returns in June and will feature the best teams from each international league. The event will provide the best teams from each region with a direct qualifier for the Championsthe finale of VALORANTWorld Cup, reward. The “Last Chance” qualifying rounds will then take place again in July. Leading teams that are not yet eligible for the Champions have qualified get one last chance to get a place in the most important event of the season. Each of the three LCQ will enter a team Champions carry. And in August it ends VCT-season with Champions.
With an inaugural season full of changes and new events, the ultimate goal is quite simple: Den Champions-Secure the cup and let your own name go down in history. During the biggest event of the season, teams will be at their best and at the end one team will become VALORANT-Champion crowned.
Riot Games also gives new details about the challengers Circuit known, the same time to VCTseason takes place. The circuit aims to give aspiring teams the opportunity to qualify for international competitions in 2024. Two challengers-Splits begin in January and culminate in July ascension-Competition. In these tournaments, the best teams from over twenty different countries compete challengersleagues against each other. You’ll see dozens of teams compete in LAN events for regional recognition and promotion to international leagues.
