Venom DLC in Marvel’s Midnight Suns is now available

2K and Marvel Entertainment announced that Redemption*, the second post-launch DLC for Marvel’s Midnight Suns with Venom, is now available worldwide for Windows PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. .
In Redemption, Venom, the deadly amalgamation of Eddie Brock and an alien symbiote, joins the Midnight Suns to right the wrongs he made under Lilith’s demonic influence. Blood-sucking vampires have infested the sewers beneath New York City, but even they tremble in fear at the sight of Venom’s black claws and razor-sharp teeth. With the help of the Midnight Suns, Venom is fighting to regain control of his actions and rid New York City of the scourge of the undead, but breaking free from one manipulative demon has attracted the attention of another. Included in Redemption:
- New recruitable hero: Venom, a feral symbiote with 10 unique hero abilities.
- New Story Missions: Continue the fight against the vampire threat in New York City
- New Abbey Update: Whisper Web
- 3 additional hero skins, 7 abbey outfits and 2 swimsuits for Venom
Venom is recruited by completing his first story mission “The *text muted*’s Due”, which becomes playable after completing the mission “Shattering Expectations” at the end of the first act.
On the battlefield, Venom begins each encounter with a huge damage bonus in the form of Ravenous. Ravenous is a unique Venom mechanic; he starts with three stacks and each stack increases his base offense. Using an Attack or Heroic uses up a stack of Ravenous, which then recharges a bit each turn. This makes Venom a particularly explosive character: he requires careful management of the order of play to maximize his damage potential, but his abilities can allow him to sustain longer periods of intense power.
Building Venom’s Whisper Web upgrade at Abbey unlocks the ability to use Intel to modify overall missions, applying a random modifier such as changing the mission leader and lowering the mission difficulty. Upgrading Whisper Web adds an additional reward to the quest, such as Credits, Blueprints, or Essence.
