What is the story of Vinland Saga?
Vinland Saga It’s a Viking story. This takes place in the 11th century in Europe and follows the experiences of Thors Snorresson, a renowned warrior who is tired of fighting and deserts to live a peaceful life in Iceland. However, 15 years later a group arrives on the island to recruit warriors and they ask Thors to join them.
Somewhat suspiciously, Thors agrees and asks his sons to stay on the island, but his son Thorfinn sneaks onto the ship, wanting to see what the battles are like. On his journey he falls into a trap in the Faroe Islands where a group of bandits commanded by Askeladd attack him. His plan all this time was to kill him for deserting.
Although Thors is able to defend himself, the bandits soon find his son. To avoid being killed, he agrees to be executed in front of Thorfinn. After the death of his father, Thorfinn agrees to join Askeladd’s group with the plan to become stronger and one day get revenge.

The staff from the first season will return for the second season with the news of the change of animation studio, which went from Wit to MAPPA. Shūhei Yabuta (director of Inuyashiki Last Hero, Attack on Titan 3D) returns to direct the ‘anime’. Hiroshi Seko (Banana Fish, Ajin: Demi-Human) returns to be the supervisor and writer of the scripts for season (2) of Vinland Saga. Takahiko Abiru (animation director for the version of Hunter×Hunter 2011) will once again be the character designer for the adaptation of Makoto Yukimura’s ‘manga’.
