We will not see Cole Young in Mortal Kombat 1
Looks like we have more news from Mortal Kombat 1. This is information related to a particular character that will not be present in this installment.
Over the years, the Mortal Kombat franchise has featured numerous characters as part of the franchise, including Cole Young. However, Cole Young he has never appeared in a Mortal Kombat video game, only in the 2021 film.
This has now been confirmed:
- Despite the franchise’s upcoming reboot, Mortal Kombat 1, Cole Young will not be joining the cast.
- According to Derek Kirtzic, NetherRealm’s lead system designer, the characters in the Mortal Kombat movie will remain exclusively in the cinematic realm.
- Therefore, to see more of Cole Young, fans will only be able to watch movies for now.
Remember that, after the first official teaser for the new installment for the 30th anniversary of the series and a second official teaser, a rumor arose that it would be a reboot for Nintendo Switch and not a new installment as such. Then its co-creator shared a teaser and Mortal Kombat 1 was finally announced for Nintendo Switch and other platforms. the game opens September 19 and will be released on Nintendo Switch.
