We will see more of the new Armored Core soon: FromSoftware has a scheduled event with date and time
Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon is FromSoftware’s immediate future beyond Elden Ring. After the RPG that broke with everything and everyone last 2022, even winning the Best Game of the Year award, many doubted what would be next for the Japanese. Of course, what we did not expect is that in a margin of 2 months, we can see the new Armored Core again with another exclusive event in a few days.
The FromSoftware team will not miss the Taipei Game Show, the first event of the year on the other side of the globe, and thanks to Reddit, we now know that Fires of Rubicon has a fixed place on the schedule. This can be followed from 1:00 p.m. (USApeninsular time) from February 3rd on YouTube, where it is anticipated that the streamingat a minimum, be accompanied by English subtitles.
This event in question will have Yasuke Oguraformer developer of FromSoftware and who is now in charge of the studio marketing, shedding some light on the development and new intentions of Masaru Yamamura. And it is that, although it may sound strange, Armored Core 6 will not be directed by Miyazakialthough the person in charge of Elden Ring does appear as a producer of the game.
In fact, the presence of the Japanese at the event is not expected, although some details of the new approach to the game are. This will leave aside the concept of soulslike that the studio has carried as a flag since that Demon’s Souls of 2009. Fires of Rubicon will face a style Action RPG that “it will not take any elements from that Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice”, a game that, according to rumors, was going to be the cornerstone of this new installment.
Expected or not, the RPG did surprise with a spectacular preview at the past The Game Awards. That doubt about whether we are facing a megaton from FromSoftware is given because Armored Core is a niche saga that it has rarely left the PlayStation ecosystem (He had just 2 deliveries on the old Xbox 360).
