The Elder Scrolls VI is one of those projects in the long run, some would say very long. The Bethesda RPG has been around, at least as a name, since 2018 and since then we haven’t heard anything else. A project that is far behind on Todd Howard’s study’s priority list, so much so that it seems its development extends up to 10 years.

To begin with, it should be noted that there is nothing strange in the development of TES 6. Bethesda wanted to make it clear that the game would arrive at some point, but Starfield was its immediate priority, and hence we have it this year. However, the RPG development cycle seems to have added years to the decade of work.

It’s constant? No. We know, thanks to Howard, that the game is in preproduction from that moment of 2018, and hasn’t been out of there since. The bulk of the team is developing Starfield, so the work period, although very long, is understandable.

This information comes to us thanks to stephen totilofounder of the Axios medium and journalist at Kotaku, who has recovered a series of official Microsoft documents in connection with the Activision Blizzard purchase agreement. Although these data they are not confirmedbut considering the aforementioned details, it is logical that we are talking about a game that we will not see until after 2025.

Of course, Totilo points to something else and it is that apparently in May 2022 there was a very important moment that marked the future of TES 6 with a view to its launch. If we look back, that same month of 2022 both Starfield and Redfall were delayed to this year. Totilo points out that this movement on the calendar would have led to the same delay of The Elder Scrolls 6.
