WILD HEARTS will have graphic options on current consoles, DLC and powerful Kemonos
It seems that koei tecmo is putting his all into the next monster hunting action RPG, WILD HEARTS. A number of interesting details have been confirmed, from graphical options, post-launch DLC, Endgame options, and more. If successful, we could be facing a strong Monster Hunter competitor.
First of all, since it is a cross-gen game, the game It will have graphic options from current consoles that will allow better visual and technical performance. In a recent AMA on Reddit, the executive producer of WILD HEARTSLewis Harvey, revealed that on PS5 and Xbox Series X, the game will feature two graphics modes: Performance Mode, which will run at 1080p and 60 FPS, and Quality Mode, which will run at 4K and 30 FPS.
On the other hand, we will have the presence of the Mighty Kemono, which are high-ranking monsters that will make things more complicated; Volatile Kemono in Endgame, Free Post-Launch DLC, etc. However, some features will not be present for fans of Monster Hunter. For example, Turf Wars, which pits two monsters against each other, will rarely happen between Kemonos in WILD HEARTS. Interestingly, along with the central city of Minato and the four regions, Harvey said that other places were a secret.
Another missing feature is the lack of separate armor sets for the female characters. You can “mix and match armor pieces, and some of our armors allow you to alter the look to be more human or Kemono focused. Stats will also change with these transformations. We also have cosmetic decorations that can be crafted and equipped to your armor for additional customization.” Feedback on the women’s sets will be passed on to the development team.
Finally, in multiplayer, other players can interact with your Karakuri and build their own. However, “Only the host of the world has the permission to proactively destroy Karakuri. It’s been specifically designed to prevent that kind of potentially toxic behavior in multiplayer.” The difficulty also increases or decreases dynamically depending on the number of players, and the multiplayer infrastructure is based on peer-to-peer.
WILD HEARTS launches on February 17 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
