Witcher actor Henry Cavill dares to go back to his gaming computer and pimps it up.
Almost exactly two years ago, Witcher star and Superman actor Henry Cavill surprised us with a video showing him building his own gaming computer. Musically accompanied by the soft voice of Barry White, he even advanced to real social media hype, as evidenced by thousands of Twitter comments – and last but not least the appropriate GameStar article on the subject.
Now Cavill puts the witcher’s sword aside again and instead puts on the craftsman’s apron and screwdriver. Because his gaming bolide caused him problems, as the actor himself reports via Instagram. Apparently the AiO water cooling (AiO stands for All-in-One) was defective, which is why he decided to replace it with another device from the manufacturer NZXT and at the same time an upgrade. Instead of the supplied three CPU fans for the 360 millimeter radiator, Cavill uses models from Noctua, which are considered to be particularly quiet.
At the same time, he also wants to replace the remaining case fans with those from Noctua. However, not all of them were delivered, which is why you can sometimes still see the black standard fans in the following pictures:

New graphics card: Compared to the computer two years ago, it is also noticeable that the Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 Ti has now become an RTX 3090. There was also a suitable Instagram post from him.
The rest of the components, on the other hand, appear to have remained unchanged. At least the same mainboard is installed, including at least similar-looking RGB RAM bars. However, the processor could have been replaced, since the mainboard also supports CPUs from the current Ryzen 5000 series:

Unusual installation of the radiator
Exactly like two years ago, Cavill is again installing the fans of the AiO water cooling above the radiator. This is a bit unusual, because these are usually installed below to blow the air through the radiator. However, that’s not wrong either, after all, the air is sucked in through the radiator and probably contributes to cooling as well as the more usual installation.
In our opinion, the look is also convincing. This not only applies to the AiO water cooling but also to the rest of the well-tidy computer. But, as is well known, it is easy to argue about taste. Also debatable, although one thing is clear for hardware editor Alex Köpf:

On Instagram, however, Cavill is being acclaimed for his upgrade project: As of August 1, 2022, his post has already received over 1.8 million likes. For example, the official Instagram account of the manufacturer Noctua writes:
