Zoe Saldana is the first person in history to star in four films of more than 2,000 million at the box office

There’s no denying that Avatar: The Water Sense has been an astonishing success, and now that it has grossed over $2 billion, a new milestone has been reached. Zoe Saldana officially becomes the first actress to star in four movies that have grossed more than $2 billion.

Of course, Zoe is proud of how her film projects have turned out, but in an interview with Women’s Wear Daily she says that for the last ten years she has felt a bit stuck in the same pattern by her continued involvement in “franchise” films.

“I’m so grateful for the opportunities I’ve been given, from collaborating with amazing directors and meeting cast members I consider friends to playing a role that fans, especially kids, love. But it also meant I felt artistically stuck in my craft of not being able to expand or grow or challenge myself by playing different kinds of genres and different roles.”

The previous films in which he has appeared and which have achieved similar success are Avatar (2009), Avengers: Endgame (2019) and Avengers: Infinity War (2018). In addition to her role as the Na’vi Neytiri in the two Avatar movies, we’ve also enjoyed her incredible portrayal of Gamora in the Guardians of the Galaxy movies, as well as Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: End me. Her latest film, Avatar: Water Sense, recently passed the $2 billion profit barrier, surpassing Spider-Man: No Way Home, which now stands as the seventh highest-grossing film of all time.
