Sparking Zero has 12 characters revealed

A week after the tragic announcement of Akira Toriyama's passing, Bandai Namco decided to bring some joy to fans. Through Shonen Jump magazine, the publisher revealed 12 new playable characters for Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero.

The images from the magazine were published on X by “DbsHype”, a profile known for bringing news about the franchise. As can be seen in the captures, Hitto, Toppo, Kakunsa, Dyspo, Jeice, Super Trunks, Master Roshi, Jeice, Boter, Incomplete Super Instinct Goku, Nappa and Legendary Super Saiyan Kale will be more fighters in the cast.

Bandai Namco had already released the official names of 24 characters. Are they:

  3. Goku (Z – Mid), Super Saiyan
  4. Goku (Z – End)
  5. Goku (Z – End), Super Saiyan
  6. Goku (Z – End), Super Saiyan 2

  8. Goku (Super)
  9. Goku (Z – Mid), Super Saiyan
  10. Goku (Super), Super Saiyan God
  11. Goku (Super), Super Saiyan Blue
  12. Vegeta (Z – Scouter)
  13. Oozaru Vegeta
  14. Vegeta (Z – Early)
  15. Vegeta (Z – Early), Super Saiyan
  16. Super
  17. Vegeta (Z – End)
  18. Vegeta (Z – End), Super Saiyan

In addition to the names above, other fighters have been shown since the first trailer, but their names and/or transformations have not been revealed. They are: Piccolo, Tien, Yamcha, Majin Boo, Krillin, Frieza, Cell, Broly, Broly (Super Saiyan), Trunks, Mr. Satan, Android 17, Android 18, Bergamo and Jiren.

Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero will be released for PS5, Xbox Series and PC. There is no release date yet.

Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero: Dragon Ball GT and Super Hero characters could be DLCs

With each passing day, the hype for the arrival of Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero, the sequel to Budokai Tenkaichi 3 (PS2), increases. While the game is not released, producer Jun Furutani brought some details, confirming the presence of characters from the anime Dragon Ball GT and the film Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, but possibly as DLCs.
